BETASEAL™ 1580 adhesive is the first cold-applied glass bonding adhesive offering 30-minute minimum drive away times – even on cars with dual airbags – with no preheating necessary. It is formulated with Dow's new accelerated isotropic network structure (AINS). AINS is the backbone for all of Dow's new aftermarket formulations. This new chemistry allows our adhesive technology unprecedented link-up and strength while the adhesive is in partially cured state, and a partial-adhesion-promoting package allows application of BETASEAL 1580 adhesive directly on a sound, secured polyurethane cut bead without a primer or activator, helping reduce process steps.

Application Methods

BETASEAL™ 1580 adhesive is part of a simple, superior system that includes BETACLEAN™ 3300 cleaner and BETAPRIME™ 5504 all-in-one primer. Just clean, prime and apply adhesive. BETACLEAN 3300 cleaner removes dirt, general surface contaminants, fingerprints and other deposits. BETAPRIME 5504 primer is the test-proven primer for every common substrate, offering superior UV protection for a long-lasting bond.
