IMPAXX energy absorbing foam is a highly engineered, extruded thermoplastic foam that utilizes Dow proprietary process technology to maximize efficiency and minimize weight. It is a strong, low-density, closed-cell foam that offers energy management solutions that ensure FMVSS compliance with limited packaging space (<20 mm), in the shortest amount of time, at the lowest cost.

IMPAXX 700 energy absorbing foam excels in dynamic impact energy absorption applications such as bumpers, doors, headliners, knee bolster and pillars, as well as for structural panel applications such as load floors, sun shades, sun visors and more.

Application:
IMPAXX 700 energy absorbing foam is ideal for headliner and pillar trims, lower interior, front and rear doors, steering column and lower instrument panel, under carpet, and bumper systems.

Application Methods:
Cut, shaped, or formed parts designed to fit and fill packaging space are attached using multiple attachment methods such as: pressure-sensitive tapes and hot-melts, mechanical screws and clips, plus others.
